Sydney City Council has been dominated by four parties for a while − Clover Moore Independent Team (CMIT/Team Clover), the Liberals, Labor and the Greens.

Clover Moore is looking for a record sixth term as Lord Mayor of Sydney, while we're also seeing a number of minor parties put their hands up.

2021 election

At the last election in 2021, Team Clover emerged as the largest party with five seats (including the directly-elected mayoral position, won by Clover Moore). The Liberals won two seats, Labor and the Greens one each, and the final position was won by Yvonne Weldon on the Unite for Sydney (UFS) ticket.
